What reputable institution would go into a year nosediving with no vision for the teams they are entrusted to run. Yet again, another year with no direction for teammates. Front line management is likely to have goals and a plan by the 7th week in the year. That’s 15% of the year gone, not including the time you need for pipeline and don’t forget this is only the date for front line management and not even when you learn about it across the bank. This is a lot sooner than previous years but it’s still a major fail on the part of EL. Truist is the laughing stock of the industry and it’s an embarrassment to say you work here. Will it be another year without paying individual performers based on their individual performances? Will there be a regional team scorecard for deposits because if you’re crushing it, you shouldn’t be paid if your RL won’t be paid. Embrace yourselves because there will be no Q&A again. No Q&A for teammates either. You’ll receive goals that you can start working on for Q2-Q4 and they’ll backdate through Q1 as if they were already established and you’ll have to make up for whatever the leadership says you should have been doing without direction or vision. Cheers mates, welcome to Suntruist. Will AL and RL be paid insane amounts as we have in the past. Where the people doing the work receive nothing but our voices louder and louder as we demonstrate what we care about. The insanity here is unreal.

@d2+1jjtaqg6n - Way to go captain 👨✈️ obvious. Nothing new here.
I feel this because even in the Business segment this is going on. Our team meeting this week the TL said “we’re still ironing out exact goals/scorecard for this year.”
And last year it was the some shady goalpost moving until mid March.
So basically all of Q1 was gone and we finally got some clarity on goals/scorecard/bonus … for the current year…. Smh
I’ve pretty much worked all across CSBB/CCB/IRM at this point and this bank is just flat out stinks regardless of segment.
Maybe CIB has their head on straight but you’re pretty much getting your knees chopped off anything below middle market (and quite a few middle market bankers have had their spigots turned off .. in my region at least).
Really depends if your region/industry is prioritized (at any given moment) by the powers that be.
Try to find a daily routine where you do some productive personal things (whether career-based or otherwise) before/after work and focus on that. I’ve found that to help my mental state.
Not that you asked for advice … but that has helped me a lot recently.
AVP!!!
