Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC A Two tier company

DXC has become a two-tier company.

You’re either a recent hire, paid at market rates but unable to get anything done due to lack of access, training, or support from colleagues who have little incentive to help.
Or
You’re a long-term employee, significantly underpaid and treated as if you’ll never leave. These employees do the bare minimum—not out of laziness or incompetence, but because they refuse to perform the same work for half the pay. However, they lack just enough self-respect to quit, having had it worn down by incompetent management, impossible deadlines, and mid-task changes that ensure failure. After all, the company couldn’t risk making you feel like you deserve a raise.

Totally on.the mark. Was there for over 15 years without a raise. I interacted with many competent execs who left as they were pushed out by folks who had no realistic plan or vision for success. Looks like clients eventually caught on.

There are too many pen pushing mid-tier managers, who live the life of Riley off the back of their subordinates, managerial training at DXC seems to be taken verbatim from the 'Peter principle'. The business is strangled by bureaucracy.

DXC has been a total disaster since its birth from CSC and HPE - I am amazed it's still here :)

The game is - Project Chicken - we all know the moment it's late the client will decide they don't want it anyway or someone will say it should be done a different way before it gets anywhere near, and it all gets replanned. The fools that are staying are not the id--ts you think they are - stashing a war chest ready to retire early and get off this rat race for good. I can't believe it's this bad anywhere else, but I know in my heart all the companies DXC still works with seem to think this is ok, so it must be widespread.

only 2 pay increases in 14 years and average of less than 2%, so i do as little as possible, show up to all the meetings where do assignments ir due dates are given out and everyone bi--hes but nonone suggests a solution.
I keep socking away my salary knowing a riff is coming and am ready when it comes. The summer wad great, got yo do stuff in between useless meetings and blamed being late on other teams.

If it weren’t for the in call 24 by 7 SRT’s where we have so many people on the call not adding any value,?I coukd if had a mych better summer

Don't forget the "no promotion in the USA or UK".

That's appalling treatment so really do not make anything more than minimal effort if you are from those places.
