Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

DEI Means You Lose

And unlike the rest of the country, Nike clearly isn't tired of losing yet. NKE Stock price is $73USD, near its Covid stock market crash lows, even though the M2 Money Supply has increased by 24% since then. That means NKE stock is literally worth 25% less than it was when Covid crashed the stock market in early 2020 - right around the time Nike embraced DEI. Pure poetry!

Nike will have a reckoning of the divisive, bigoted, AND racist DEI indoctrination they tried to cram down our throats. Thank goodness the fever has broken. Some people will continue to have their heads in the sand and pretend all the BS they forced us to be a part of wasn't racist or bigoted. Tik Toc....a house cleaning is right around the corner.

"Nike filled too many director and above roles with mediocre talent to meet the 2025 DEI targets set five years ago, just so executives could earn bigger bonuses. Most if these roles are not contributing the added value to justify their big salaries."

It is not just that!
It is who they brought in and who they let go.
The effect branched all the way down to the bottom like an upside down tree.

Glad Nike’s culture transformed to be all about inclusion and belonging, hiring and promoting people who couldn’t care less about sports or sneakers. Now everyone can pat themselves on the back, share their feelings and non-sport interests, and coast along at work completely ignoring athletes and consumers, all while the company stagnates.

Funny how DEI was supposed to level the playing field but somehow just turned into ‘Lean In: White Women Edition.’ No wonder Nike now has culture issues.

DEI = Didn't Earn It

Note that the biggest beneficiaries of DEI are not black employees, it is actaully white women. You can tell me HO isn't a prime example of that and the way she has promoted your all girls network is crazy. MG in North America is a prime example of that, she hasn't been in a job longer than 2 year, but seems to keep getting promoted. Nike just needs to get back to who made it great, those who understood their consumer and those understand sport.

I can't even make shoes that people like but yeah, let me weigh in on DEI.

I could see how some people might be bitter they were fired during layoffs due to being a white male, or, more specifically, not being prioritized by belonging to a minority group, for the sake of rebalancing demographics to hit the 2025 DEI KPIS.

"Mark Zuckerberg was the one to say it best. "
Seriously, is that the same mark that bought an election for 400 million dollars and has censored/manipulated everything on Beta?

"This strategy was backed by a board of almost all white men and enacted by a white man. "

they don't identify as white, they identify with a small group that loves usury
and donates to places like Harvard
even China knows this
it must be wonderful to live in the dark

and yes there are d-mb corrupt white people at the top that sellout poor and middle class white people for money and power and have also managed to rack up 37 trillion in debt

“It just hasn’t happened yet!” is such a convenient way to win every argument, isn’t it? Really smart crowd here.

Nike went 100% into an awful strategy which just so happened to coincide with the rise of DEI. This strategy was backed by a board of almost all white men and enacted by a white man. You people are just straight up id--ts who severely lack critical thinking skills.

The more DEI leaders, the more Nike collapsed

"I mean adidas has a massive DEI program and they aren’t losing."

All of you so quick and short-minded. They aren't losing "yet."

Stop promoting s-xism and racism. Lots of "institutions" lasted many (or even several hundred years) and were still proved to be detrimental.

Like saying "Slavery wasn't bad because America was great during those 200 years."

F. OFF.

Racism and s-xism are NEVER good, even when it works in your favor.

Some of you MF's need to remember that. You have a history of it.

Oh , weird that DEI KPI's aren't an indicator of success.

Almost like judging a person based on s-x or race is a BAD thing, eh?

It was a perfect combination of things that went wrong that led to NKEs decline, leaving it in its current prolonged state of stagnation, unable to regain momentum. DEI certainly was one of the factors. Industry leaders are only now starting to recognize that aggressive DEI KPIs are not the most effective approach to building a strong company culture and attracting the best talent.
