Who was happy Senior Audit Managers and above were sent to Charlotte this week and were in conferences all day?!?! Finally could get some work done. I hope they had fun at top golf last night.

MM? You mean M Boar son
Who managed the trough at the offsite for MM?
If you want to know pain then you did not have to spend additional time AFTER the "conference" with MAM and MM at the professional practices onsite/offsite whatever they called it. No free drink will get me that time back. Leadership at its worst. They act as though we would follow them through fire yet we are all leaving.
MM, MAM and HL are all still DD personal cronies, everyone knows it, and everyone has been taking bets on if Grant will “retire” them or will they leave on their own accord first. Most think after the bonuses are paid they will leave on their own as they know they are on borrowed time. Then maybe this ship can be set straight; at least I hope so, because I don’t know how much more any of us that are left can take.
MM is a worthless beast.
Off topic but does anyone know how audit promotions work? Thank you. My people my people manager cannot be bothered with one on ones and is essentially non existent.
At least we didn’t have to listen to JD at this conference, that is one big positive since Grant took over.
You must not have been here the year before with the external trainer on audit writing. Asking if we’ve ever written a resume! What ?!
HH is a problem too. I have no idea why they brought him in. I hope he never does another training. That was the worst writing training I have had in all my years of audit.
MM has no practices qualifications whatsoever. Unless being a DD crony specializing in indulging DD on petty gossip qualifies as a practices qualification.
Can someone get Grant’s face off the landing page of the source? It’s scary.
Grant’s honeymoon period is over and it is not better. He has no idea what he is doing and problems are getting worse not better. Even new people are already looking to leave. All you hear is one excuse after another.
Grant talked a good game at first and I had high hopes but 9 months later not much has changed. To his credit he was handed an absolute mess with no good ELT members and the ones that were left no one liked anyway. It will take time to fix, but he can only blame prior regime for so long. I like the hires he has brought back, maybe more will follow but doubtful because Truist overall seems to be the laughing stock of the financial services industry right now. I honestly don’t want to leave, but I am not sure how much longer I can take this limbo period with constant change and no clear direction.
I thought Grant wanted to decrease the top-heaviness? Or at least that’s what he paid lip service too at his very beginning. The org chart sure doesn’t look like that objective is still on…
Well DD brought in MaM and MM and they got rid of the good practices people so what do you expect with what is left?
In true Truist fashion it lacked communication and organization. I do not know how these practices people have jobs.
I hope they had fun. Wait until the regulators publish their report on audit, they will all be crying.
@d8+1jjaf40k9 There are way too many leaders and not enough doers. The theme was get stuff (cleaned up from curse word) done. How ironic?!? They still are not getting stuff done they sit around talking. They have no idea what is going on or what is needed.
Is it bad there were more of them there than there were us left in the office? Talk about an inverted triangle and too many “leaders” and not enough “doers”
I am sure it will come out of raises and bonuses.
Agree 100%
