Rumors flying around Dallas C-Suites about moving Leg T/CWA workers to Mobility contract by end of 1st quarter 2026 or else simply announcing they're no longer needed at end of Leg T contract exactly like how you can move out of an apartment or return a car at end of lease.

I am so looking forward to my entitlement of 104 weeks pay per our Leg T/CWA contract. I have 32 years of service and know I will be laid off soon as all my work tasks are being automated and/or offshored. And that's ok because I simply want the 102 weeks pay - and then I'll start my pension, 401k and social security. Life is good. Hopefully my departure give new opportunities for others. Best of luck to the gen x & gen y workers.
"Now that they have the mgmt employees in check. Now it’s time to work over the union folks. I expected we’d see action against the union folks to get costs down.
I thought they would get rid of copper, then sell what remains and send a lot of CWA folks out of the door."
My job title had 320 in 08, and we're down to around 85. Not much more to cut; however, I can assure you the 95-97 hires will be turning out the lights. No need to "get us in line," we'll do the for you.
Those 60 jobs in Southfield cost 133 jobs in Fleming Island FL and that’s not including all the management jobs yet to be announced. AT&T figured out how to move the work to a lower title five years after they had previously moved the work from Leg T CSSS title to a Southeast CSA Title. Every time it’s moved people are paid less and more and more knowledge flies out the door. The CWA at the very least should be fighting for a higher title for those Southfield reps.
Word on the street is if there's an earnings miss next week, all redux totals and dates will be signigicantly accelerated
Awesome, 104 weeks of severance pay...can’t wait for my grand exit!
The mobility contract is a lot better than the leg t.
You should ask your union rep about it.
Legacy T just hired 60 people in Southfield.

They have already converted folks from wireline contracts to mobility contracts. This is not new and for some reason did not seem to get covered when the CWA went on strike in 2024.
