Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

No yearly raise

The cost of living has raised exponentially. Even dollar tree increased in prices. Eggs are $5.
Hertz cares about its people. That’s why they haven’t given raises in years and aren’t giving raises this year either.

At least now they offer a service to finance your groceries.

I currently work at Hertz's Albany, NY location. I was hired at $17.50/hour and 30 hours/week, and got a raise after 6 months to $18.50/hour. Meanwhile, a realistic living wage where I live is currently $25/hour. Being trusted with operating millions of dollars' worth of machinery every week should be worth at least that. I'm always looking for better jobs, and this is why. I've also looked at the receipts renters leave behind, and they're... demoralizing, to say the least.

I heard they’re currently having meetings and putting more pressure on the trainees and branch managers because they lost a lot of money due to their bad investments and decisions. There is no real structure with this company. won’t be too long before they disappear.

Hertz is going under anyway. Their previous admin went all-in on a woke liberal agenda. The EV mandate is gone. DEI is gone. Hertz is next.
