Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

New Jersey law. Hostile work environment. Disability.

One slide lists “anticipated impacts” of the five-day effort. They include “‘quiet quitting’ and attrition” and unassigned seating in offices “making it difficult and stressful to find a seat + other behaviors like leaving personal belongings on desks, having to come in super early to get a seat.”

“If your employer creates a hostile work environment in New Jersey, you can:
File a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (.gov) (EEOC) and the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights (NJDCR)
Inform a supervisor or the Human Resources department
Report the harassment to the State's Hotline at (833) 691-0404
Consult a New Jersey harassment attorney “

My neighbor just went out on disability from this. If I were ready to leave the company soon, I’d make a claim and sit home while they pay me. The more claims the more of a case you have. Should be really easy to prove this in court.

RTO and reducing employee headcount is all in preparation for Stankey to retire. He needs to boost the stock price so he can retire, get his "golden parachute", and then cash out of the stock before it tanks because of the "brain drain" he caused.

I predict Stankey will retire before the end of 2025.

Plenty of room in the brand new NJ office, oh and free parking right outside the building. But seriously, No One Is Safe! That’s one lesson we should have all learned by now. At any moment, anything could happen. Headquarters city could change with the next CEO, you never know. Hate to see all the in-fighting on this site, we may live in different cities but we’re all in the same boat. Remember, when you’re in the arena, remember who the real enemy is.

“ Yes, if a hostile work environment significantly impacts your mental health, leading to a diagnosed condition like depression, anxiety, or PTSD”

Then you are a PU$$Y and a drain on society. Relieve us of the burden that is you.

Low IQ southern comment. The northeastern United States harbors the brightest minds in history along side today’s best public and private school systems in the country. Tell me pal, which Ivy is in Atlanta? LOL

Translation: I am butthurt I can't afford to move somewhere nicer.

Sorry dommy, you haven’t been following along. Atlanta is so over capacity they can’t even start 5 days RTO until they construct more office space. Dallas is full too.

We aren’t going anywhere. Now go play in traffic

Those laws are just for show. Just like everything the government tries to do, it is designed to get votes, not actually protect anyone or solve any problems. See also: Student loan forgiveness programs. If the NJ laws actually worked and affected corporate behavior, companies would just pull out of the state.

“T will slowly remove all att jobs out NJ.”

Jokes on you. This is where they hire their desired demographics. You know, the young TDP’s and the H1Bs.

We also have an army of Chief Security Office leadership and their entire org is here. Tons of VPs, distinguished inventive scientists with tons of patents, and government security positions, and Emergency Preparation with national defense contracts.

Did I mention we have so many employees that we have 3 open offices full of employees?

Did you know Middletown has been owned outright since the bell labs days and they’re currently remodeling the entire complex?

Yea, I’m 100% confident NJ will be here until the lights go off. I know you’re jealous. I would be too.

After the long list of abuses we’ve faced. Anyone can prove this to be true.

Yes, if a hostile work environment significantly impacts your mental health, leading to a diagnosed condition like depression, anxiety, or PTSD that prevents you from working, you may be able to qualify for disability benefits, depending on the severity of your condition and the documentation you can provide from your healthcare provider; however, proving that your mental health issues are directly caused by your work environment is crucial to a successful claim.
