Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Reporting non compliance

Can I report my coworkers for noncompliance to RTO? I feel like there should be a portal to report these things up the chain so they can ease these freeloaders off the payroll.

I think people should have to attest they are in office so if not they can be let go on the spot for falsifying documents.

The more that get fired for non compliance the stronger my job security is.

Point all prospective hires to this thread, as it sums up the AT&T corporate culture quite succinctly. Misery and snitching to get ahead. Mao would be pleased.

Better yet , report the noncompliance and then tell your supervisor YOU are will NOT continue to come into the office until you are not singled out and ALL employees are held to the same standard.

Such a great collaboration culture. Similar to communist countries encouraging citizens to snitch on each other for ‘rewards’

“ Yeah, trust me, that’s not lasting much longer. Enjoy while you can I guess”

As a field ops group it actually will last. Sorry you have a job tied to a desk. Make a change.

What’s truly amazing about this serious lack of judgment is that you actually thought it was a popular thought.

You’re completely detached from reality bud.

I’ll bet any amount of money you voted for Harris. Any fing amount you want.

“Can I report the aholes who sit next to me and host hours long meetings and holler talk into their noise canceling headphones? Get a f'n focus room people.”

My days are numbered and so are yours. Knowing this truth will set you free.
I walk in like a bad a$$ and let my eyes and demeanor do the talking. If you’re sitting next to a loud mouthed clown, stand up like a bad a$$ and give them the WTF look. Don’t be shy. Don’t be a pu$$y. He knows what he’s doing. He’s not stupid. He just refuses to be respectful and considerate because he’s an A1 DI-K. Just like Stankey and Jeremy. So take care of it. Don’t roll over and su-k it up. Best of all, WTF is he going to do about you staring him down? COBC violation? I don’t think so. Go for it and enjoy the time in office with your new found freedom.

I would report those no-show RTO (return-to-office) individuals immediately, but I wouldn't tell my supervisor. Supervisors typically don't take action. Instead, I would report them to CSO Corporate Security to protect my position in the hierarchy.

“But there is one master policy. If not meeting 5x8 requirements, your management chain is setting you up for failure.”

But there is not one master policy that’s clear in the where and how we work portal as well as the occupancy indicator description that cover a range of days in office and nothing discusses minimum amount of hours each day. Each org sets their policy and they vary even within that org bases on what the teams do.

The ambiguity of the RTO policy allows for selective targeting of specific employees at the supervisor discretion.

  • You don’t get to see who else is in violation or how you compare to your peers
  • Everyone has “different “ rules
  • All specifics regarding the presence report is word of mouth

Every organization has their own RTO policy. Mine varies - no RTO when doing field visits, no RTO on half days, no RTO in bad weather, no RTO if under the weather, no 8 hour day requirement but instead just spend more hours in office than at home. So you assume people are not doing RTO but they are they just have different requirements than you do. I also work 7-3 no lunch but I am sure you think I am leaving early but that has been my schedule for a decade.

@b1+1jhvcw2kp Thanks. You never know what people are going through.. but hope you feel better when you hear of the 2nd employee who passed on their way to work in the next few days.

Bet that will make your day.

@ap+1jhvcw2kp "we all hope you get cancer" - Dude, wishing that upon someone, let alone anyone is just pure filthy. OP is a dipsh-t alright, but to think we have people in our workforce that will even wish cancer upon their peers is WILD.

P.S. cancer survivor here.

@aw+1jhvcw2kp Absolutely. And I've every right to do so. If RTO is dragging me down the drain, everyone else is coming with me. Rules are rules.

Lol so you see all these people not get in trouble for going home early and your reaction is to snitch on them instead of also go home early? You are not only an actual piece of sh-t, but you're a stupid one too. You'll never get another job with that brain.

OP probably didn’t read between the lines of Jeremys DEI initiative. RTO and being on time doesn’t apply. Historically problematic to reprimand. For those that pretend to be offended, great acting but I was personally told that they refer to being late as CPT.

To all the downvoters, I am dead against RTO and have been trying to get another job in the market, but have a family to support as the only earning member.

You are literal human garbage and we all hope you get cancer.

To all the downvoters, I am dead against RTO and have been trying to get another job in the market, but have a family to support as the only earning member. I'm forced to do this five days at work thing just so I can secure a paycheck and avoid the inevitable HR convo if I don't comply. When there's a bunch of people to who a paycheck is literally everything, this becomes something that makes their effort invalidated. Why should coworkers not following the rule be considered the same as people who do? Why would it not anger some of us who begrudgingly have fallen in line? Special treatment, much?

OP - the way I do it is to webphone the supervisor, and anon-message them on LinkedIn with the details. Worked a couple of times, got them a Teams meeting or two with HR and the sup.

Isn't there some kind of web page there that shows the supervisor, and further up the chain? One would think that if someone wasn't there, supervisor would know. They call it "attendance" don't they?
