Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

The wheels have finally come off the Oracle bus

This year's "Cloud" World cinches it -- for the first time, the lack of attendees and excitement around this event proves definitively that Oracle is really no longer relevant to the industry.

Nobody cares a wh-t about OCI and any announcements they are making, despite Oracle's trying its hardest to make a big PR deal about it. Cerner -- blah. Nobody cares about that either. Larry, Safra, Miranda, Clay as main keynote speakers? Bwhahahahaha!

There's really not much to note. Oracle's announcements at Cloud Whirrled are a joke, again nobody cares. All has-been or me-too stuff. Yet Oracle blindly touts itself as a cloud leader. There is nothing, literally nothing, that Oracle leads in anymore. They are completely irrelevant, even in the core database market. Open source, hyperscale cloud providers and cloud data providers like Snowflake and Databricks have literally rendered Oracle obsolete even in its crown jewels market.

It's going to be a very slow road to oblivion for Oracle. If you have gotten out and moved to greener pastures, you are WAY ahead of the game. If you are still working at Oracle, the rats are scrambling to get off the sinking ship, so don't wait too long to jump. Do it now! Today! Get that resume polished up and out there! There are still a lot of companies hiring, so don't waste a minute, a day, a week, a month. Run from Oracle as fast as you can.

You have read the stories here from people who have left who make 25%, 50%, 100% the salaries they made at Oracle, with less stress, better management and colleagues, and more satisfying jobs. Why not be among the WINNERS who have done done this? The longer you stay at Oracle, the longer you are putting off your next successful career step.

I say meh to your post. You certainly have a lot to say though. If you work at Oracle and you’re this bitter, find something else.
