Use all sick days

With the 5 day RTO everyone be sure to use all 10 sick days. Even if you have a runny nose, use a sick day and don't work from home. Bad weather and can't make it? Call out, no more working remote.

After hours need? Nope, when you give me no flexibility I have no flexibility.

This is the way.

If you use all your sick and personal time, you can take unpaid time off.

To add to that, you can use up ALL your sick days. It’s your standard employee benefit. Don’t need to explain your rights to ANYONE.

You can do both - remote work AND use your sick days.

Sick days for REALLY badly, can’t get out of bed sick. Remote for doctor appointments, kid is sick, parent is sick, spouse is sick, dental appointments, things that don’t have you in bed all day but you need to be home for - utility workmen, plumbing needs fixing, wherever. Stuff you need to be home for and still able to work a full day. If your plumber is coming, and they have given you the standard 4 hour window of “anytime between noon and 4pm” then you can still work, and still be home to monitor what’s going on with the kitchen sink. Jamie ain’t fixing that sink, so someone’s got to.

I use mine as I see fit. I use all my vacation and personal days and I take my sick down to the lowest I can so i make sure I get 40 hours Jan and the other 40 in April…never going above 96.

The company policy says it is for mental health and for appointments. I just schedule OOO time and use it as sick time as I see fit. My health is none of their business really. There is a maximum number you can accrue so I would make sure to not go over this number. I do this regardless of the RTO. Why should I forfeit time. My sure to take your volunteer day too.

bottom line - use your sick days when your sick. don’t muster it up and work from home while you feel bad, like alot of people did. actually use your sick time and don’t wfh when you are sick.
