Exactly what the difference between being a rep and a manager anymore. As a rep I’m opening and closing money and store, I’m doing the inventory, I’m greeting, I’m filling out tracking sheets. The only thing I don’t have to do is be on calls that could be an email. Serious ?.

write a formal letter addressed to the CEO hans and see if upper management does anything about it.
It's been a problem in the retail locations for years, reps becoming ast mgrs. Most believe it's a license not to do anything and delegate everything to the reps, cash management, inventory, store opening procedures etc. And they help very little with selling in the store. The position should be eliminated because all the reps have store keys and have opening and closing procedures and are also " productive " the ast mgr position is a great job if you want a job were you can "hang out" and get paid.
They’ll probably phase out managers and leave everything to the DM to manage the locations because DM’s have so much to do /sarcasm
