Raises

Well, October is almost over. Did y’all get your raises like you were promised? Were they everything you ever dreamed of and more?

If they could fix SODA and their horrendous drop ship processes that lead to THOUSANDS of unresolvable web exceptions country wide, maybe we’d see a DECENT increase. But then again, even if we did, we still probably wouldn’t see enough to make a dent.

This is the legacy of RM and YZ. Spent untold millions on IBM Webshere Commerce just before the product was sold to HCL. After this expensive boondoggle they fail to upgrade or even fix the already failing AS400 based SODA.
Follett – making it easier to take your money and impossible to get your merchandise!

Understood that companies want to keep payroll the same with higher wages so they cut hours but please don't blame the legislature for this. Blame the companies.
In every company there are many places to trim the fat but the lowest level & least paid are always targeted. Greed rules.

Yeah, my whopping 50¢ raise in a year of nearly 10% inflation so I can continue to do half of my inept dual store manager’s job description while continuing to do my own AND covering a register since we have to burn our temps.

The GVP level absorbs a substantial amount of potential funding that could go towards more payroll $s to customer interacting personnel and support to store activities that will put more sales $s into registers. GVPS have large salaries, company cars, spend huge $s on travel expenses, including, plane tickets, car rentals and expensive meals and entertainment, and, how many additional sales do they add to registers?

It’s not keeping up with inflation, our raise. Maybe stop throwing parties at the top and give us a better raise? Yeah right.

If Follett wanted to, they could give out raises without cutting hours. It is not the fault of politicians that Follett treats its employees badly. At my other job, I got a review and my raise showed up on the next paycheck, not 6 months later.
At some point Follett has to decide whether its a big business/market leader and pay more or a small business and treat employees like they actually matter. They can't do neither and be successful-we've seen this!

Also keep in mind that the old regime (TL, CW, RM, TH) do not seem to even be looking for work. Realistically they probably got a huge bonus for FAILING and haven't had the need to work for 8 months while front-line workers are being forced to do more with less.

So it was the politicians that didn't include the approved company raises in the budget? D@mn them all to he!!...

Or it was the politicians that didn't find another way to pay for the approved company raises...other than cutting hours.

The B@st@rds!

Curious...how much does it cost the company for EK and team to visit stores? I am sure a few less visits, flying economy and a few less nights in a hotel room could help pay for them.

However, my total paycheck is less. I used to work 25-30 hours a week. Now I barely get 10 hours a week. Maybe 15 if I am lucky.
Remember when you vote for politicians that brag they raised the minimum wage to X dollars.
Someone pays for that. Raise prices of goods, do away with FT employees and their benefits, cut hours.
If Follett doesn't turn a profit they might as well shut down because they are working for nothing.

How are these raises being paid for? I got a raise and then my hours were cut! Sure, I am making more per hour. However, my total paycheck is less. I used to work 25-30 hours a week. Now I barely get 10 hours a week. Maybe 15 if I am lucky.
