Exit interview

Anyone here participate in an HR exit interview when you left? Supposedly confidential. Any reason not to be fully open in an exit interview?

Exit interview are pointless, it’s definitely a check the box. Send an email to head of HR in New Jersey, include a few of them. HR and District Managers cover for each other especially if you’re a sheep to the company.

Nope. HR didn’t know I was leaving because boss didn’t even submit the paperwork (and tried to blame it on me as if I should have submitted something to HR?) So they overpaid me and had to claw it back, what a sh-tshow.

I did not respond to an exit interview. It is meaningless, just a box for HR to check and brag about.

I filed a complaint and mentioned issues during the exit interview. That mgr received a promotion as well. Hey, their problem now. Can't hide incompetence long term. So no, exit interviews or surveys don't do anything.

I slammed my old company in my exit interview and the mo--n I complained about got a promotion shortly after. They mean nothing

They don't care. The exit survey is just something for the company to track metrics of what worked and what didn't during the termination process of the employee. If anything, it'll give them leads on which groups to focus on if percentages need to be met in a region.

I've seen countless of high performers let go due to everything but performance. Take what you can from the experience and move on. They will move on as soon as you walk out the door.

I completed the interview via the link, not live. Why not tell the truth?

What’s the incentive to participate? My time is valuable to me.

If you want things to improve after you leave, sure, tell the truth. But do you?

Left in the September wave. Wasn’t given the opportunity for an exit interview.

I guess it depends on the extent to which you trust Verizon with your feedback, to whatever degree of candor you speak with.....if an exit interview is mandatory.

Didn't think this was even a thing anymore. They really don't care why you are leaving.

I completed the exit interview; I don't see a reason why you should not be truthful and forthcoming
