Someone told me there is a process to get downgraded out of Virtual Desktop. Anyone had experience or know the process?
Trying to log in today to do one thing and It’s not launching the client but the browser and then gives me an error that the server being used is restricted. I’ve had it with it. I’ve had it for over two years and it is just dog sh-t.
And of course now it launches after it says it can’t be launched. Wtf.

I am on WAVE (vdi) and received an email about 2-3 months ago that I was being migrated to Cloud PC. At the bottom of the email there was a link to opt out of Cloud PC. I did it and was removed from the Cloud PC migration and remained on WAVE which works fine for me.
I couldn’t get in today and Horizontal refused to launch. Contacted MyIT they gave me a KB link with THREE OPTIONS for PERMANENT workarounds. THREE.
They did give me a link to request WAVE to be removed but with a caveat that Cloud PC is coming and WAVE is on the way out.
Cloud pc is a disaster. Wave VDI is a world class solution in comparison. The WXP team desperately needs new leadership
Every single tech upgrade since Shart came along has been a cluster in implementation and a downgrade in capabilities. It's almost like they are intentionally tanking it. Even random chance would lead to better results.
But with cloud pc you get WINDOWS HELLO! Lol

Personally, I've had a better experience, albeit only slightly, on cloud PC vs VDI.
Both are pretty bad as far as used experience.
cloud pc is a complete downgrade, slow af and i can’t multitask anymore! so much for stupid innovation!

If you think wave / horizon client is bad just wait till they move you to cloud pc. 10x worse. Maybe more. Truly, the worst launch of an end user solution I’ve ever seen at wf. What’s mind blowing is it’s all Microsoft products end to end yet doesn’t work seamlessly. The amount of productivity I’ve lost on cloud pc is wild. Would gladly revert to wave
