Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Thanks for giving us your employees!

The pandemic forced employees to adapt quickly, ensuring their companies could remain operational and profitable under unprecedented circumstances. Many of us pivoted on a dime, demonstrating resilience and commitment in the face of challenges. However, now some companies are pushing for a return-to-office model that doesn’t work for everyone, leading to the loss of key talent and diminished morale.

It’s disappointing to see decisions that prioritize tradition over innovation and employee well-being, despite claims of supporting wellness. Flexible work models have proven successful, and forcing a return to outdated norms risks alienating the very employees who drove success during tough times. Employees deserve workplaces that value and respect their needs—not just in words, but in actions.

Many companies who initially forced RTO have had to since rescind their mandate. They found that they drove away some key talent and a huge loss in employee morale. You all need to band together to make a statement.

On another note, it’s been enlightening to see how these policies have impacted talent movement across industries. I’ve noticed an influx of exceptional talent from Chase and other organizations applying for positions in my company, and we’re thrilled to welcome these individuals to our team. To those reevaluating their career paths, we’re happy to have you join us!

Don't shave beards to go in the office, it only supports anti beard discrimination.

I really like Chase. I worked in office 5 days/week prior to pandemic so it was a nice multi-year run. Time to shave beard and tuck in shirt and head back to the cube!

I would like to know what your company is. I have been at JPM for years and the past few years have been absolutely draining.

CVS Health is hiring. I have a friend that works there and he told me that they attempted RTO, but ultimately reversed their stance because the employees left, complained, etc., and they realized they were limiting their talent options. Their new CISO is supposingly very into work life balance, etc.

Chase will realize they are significantly limiting their talent pool by doing this. It may take a little bit, but it will happen.

Guys, just search for remote work, it’s not that difficult. I know which companies offer but I am staying only because I am gonna quiet quit to make them lay me off so I can collect severance.
