Audit is only hiring their favorites from their past organization and no one else has a chance. Rules are bent to get them in. I cannot believe how blatant it is. Do not waste your time applying, they already know who they are hiring.

The favorites hear about everything and get opportunities to shine no one else even hears of.
It does not take long to see who the favorites are here. Rules change for them. You have to be in a role for a year to be eligible for a new role. Amazing how many people in TAS were not in their job a year and are already in new roles.
It really depends where your ELT came from. There is a lot of Wells Fargo people coming too.
Many long timers have no idea how to think like a big bank and will not change. What surprises me the most is how many left and came back. But then again several went to USAA saw it going to !# and came back because it’s the only place they had a connection.
Most of the heritage audit professionals have left (either by their own accord or not), the ones that remain seem to be miserable and looked upon as outcasts. Unfortunately the previous comments are correct. There seems to be more Protiviti resources than actual teammates in the department. This has also led to no consistency and relationship building with the lines of business which further outcasts the internal audit function. The best part of this group is the low expectations, and no accountability and of course no one cares if you are in the office or not.

@ak+1jh901ref Why leave? We barely do any work in audit. The bar is very low and the pay is ok for such little work. No one cares if you come in the office either.
Half the audit department is Protiviti contractors and they are not even good.
As long as they have some talent I don't care who they hire. Currently, the entire audit staff appear to be contractors.
You should find a job elsewhere. Will be good for you to get Truist out of your head.
