Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

ATL WCD moving to the Battery

Thoughts on the movement of CIB, CRE, and structured credit teams moving from downtown ATL to the battery? Seems like it punishes those who chose to live close to the existing office. The battery isn’t even inside the perimeter.

In a way it is a surprise because we had been told the past 3 years only IB would be moving to the Battery.

That expansion is over 4 years in the Making. Shouldn't catch anyone by surprise!

If this is true, then it’s because this location is more convenient for senior management. The fact is that the senior and more experienced employees with higher salaries started leaving about 10 months ago. They were replaced with less experienced and lower paid analysts. If the new analysts don’t want to make the longer commute, they are easily replaced. The plan is likely to replace most in this space with offshoring to India anyway. So long as senior management and EL are happy, who cares about everyone else.

Remember teammates, you are in Mr Roger’s neighborhood now!

If it’s outside the radius ask them for severance and look for another job

We don’t need your kind here. Find a job elsewhere closer to home.
