Did you know that employees are 4 times more likely to care if treated like humans?

True. But, unfortunately, they’re not paying us to care. They’re paying us to offer the minimum viable product, in a sense. I would sometimes say that the quality of our service would decline with staff reductions and a shift to outsourcing. Then I remembered the story about the bear chasing two people. You don’t need to outrun the bear. You just need to outrun the other person. If the major carriers are all playing the same game, the customers (internal and external) may suffer, but it would be a negligible difference, as compared to our competitors.

“Those commute hours might be on my time but they come out of the time I was willing to commit to AT&T when I was allowed to work from home.”

Sure you were.

The Stank face is so everyone will know when they see him; they can voice their concerns. He will probably buy you a free lunch at the country club.

"If more managers worked full time hours, we wouldn’t currently be 5x8."

Don't worry, the managers in my group, including my boss, have cut back their hours to full time. No more than 5x8 now. And I am seeing it in other organizations too. Most of the floor I try to sit on is empty by 4pm every day.

Stankey wanted culture change . . . Stankey got culture change. 8 and skate, it can wait!

“In other words, let me be lazy without consequences.”
My thoughts exactly. If more managers worked full time hours, we wouldn’t currently be 5x8.

“ Why the fu-k is Stanley’s head on my screensaver now”

There was a date glitch. It actually showed as October 31st.

If I have an ecommerce business and my $210/mo internet goes down for 30 min on a week day, that is going to cost me a lot more than $7 bill credit that my guarantee provides.

That’s what I said the other day. Sure is an incentive not to let your computer go idle so you don’t see his ugly mug.
