Fathom a comparison of VZ to AT&T and TMUS -- striking contrast within the last 60+ days and not alone 12-months periods.
Post ID: @xn+1jh8n3nt2: hypothetical contrasts. Different investment goals. Embarrassingly, VZ's quarterly dividends are not the only purpose to be a top fortune company.
Furthermore, the stock you note are a different breed and overall their respective ROI has been over 50+% so a recent downturn is part of the stock investing norm.
@xn, what does your assertion of either Apple's being down 10 pct, or Tesla's being down 20 pct., have to do with larger sized December percentage drop being discussed in this thread?
Not that you care to notice, but the S&P and the Dow are off almost 10pct and have had one of the worst December on record. Apple is down 10pct. Tesla down 20pct. But you like to chat about your narrative
Subject: Frontier Communications Accelerates Vesting Amid Verizon Merger?
Hmmm, a merger w/VZ, then what because Frontier has no wireless assets?
What strategic assets is Frontier adding of value to the depressed VZ share price??
VZ cannot afford anymore debt.

Subject: moving jobs overseas
Bottom line: the most important questions to Wall Street, where is VZ's top-line growth, increasing revenue???
The 2nd most important question, increasing cash flow every calendar quarter.
The 3rd most important question, increasing margins every calendar quarter.

Wrong. Disagree. The current stock price su-ks and will not get any better any time soon. Continues loss of market share thus customers leaving -- continual lower net additions. The price for the wireless plans are not competitive -- too high. The continued loss of customers for every other VZ line of business.

Is that a plausible recommendation? Why would the VZ share price not go lower?? Is there a viable 5-year strategic plan embraced by the Wall Street investment firms?? Furthermore, even Apple got a downgrade and has a huge detractor and this same person is not advocating for VZ but more for T & TMUS as the prudent (ROI, return-on-investment) alternative.

Post ID: @dn+1jh8n3nt2: it is a professional job with benefits within this currently soured economy because the only jobs being added and created are $15/hour or as high as $20/hour and without family employee benefits. The good days are gone ("austerity") -- struggling and lackluster GDP and the excessive population not in the workforce contributing to the nation's GDP.
And higher interest rates, for longer, whereby a negative impact to VZ's share price due to VZ's high debt-load. And high personal credit card debt.
VZ is a DUMPSTER FIRE......must be he-l to work there!
BUY BUY BUY
What do you think happens when all the knowledge workers leave the company and all the work is sent to India ?
Frontier Communications Parent ( (FYBR) ) has shared an announcement.
Frontier Communications has announced the acceleration of vesting and payments of bonuses and stock units for its named executive officers in connection with its merger with Verizon Communications. This move, aimed at mitigating tax implications, ensures that compensation-related corporate tax deductions are preserved and reduces excise taxes for executives, reflecting a strategic financial maneuver as the company transitions to being a Verizon subsidiary.
There goes my stock options...! Ugghhh
