I still come across people who genuinely believe they can build a career here. In reality, one can count themselves lucky every day they haven’t been kicked to the curb.

How can you have career growth if they are unwilling to relocate you to India?
Yeah they tell us we are not a core or specialty location, will be laid off in the next year or two, then Browbeat us into taking all these courses (ostensibly so we can do even MORE work above forty) without any kind of promotion or compensation. Quiet hiring. (I didn't invent that phrase.) Career growth my sweet patoot.
The days of building a career at a Corp is over.
