If you discover you are on the wrong train, get off at the nearest station. The longer you wait, the more expensive it will be to get back on the correct path.

"Quietly quitting" is the art of setting your exit date. That means getting your severance, maintaining your career and salary goals, and maintaining your peace of mind. Now, HR will come along and tell you to get off the train. Their goal is to get everyone to quit -- on their timetable. I find its best not to reveal anything, play nice, but don't pick up any bad habits (like boot licking or bullying) as you navigate towards your exit date.
I think the only wrong train is the one you are on, OP.
