In other words I don't have the skills, talent, or qualifications to work anywhere else so I will cry about a "package" Good luck
Do what I did, tell your manager you want to be surplused. I had to wait several months, but it happened a few months ago. Given the enhanced monitoring, 5x8 and likely reduction in the future severance payout I think I timed it perfectly. I enjoyed the break and have since decided to remain retired.
Enjoy your commute. They won’t give packages because folks will leave voluntarily.
