Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Anyone asked to be laid off?

I’m wondering how that discussion went. Was thinking about retiring in early 2026, but if I was able to get laid off in 2025, I’d much prefer that.

I was planning to retire March 2025 - gave my boss “official” notice 6 months earlier to ensure I’d get my stock granted last year as part of my bonus compensation. I did tell him casually in September that if a RIF came up to put me on the list. Got laid off mid November 2024.

I had a great manager, so I knew he would look out for me and he did. Unfortunately, it happened really fast and so there was no knowledge transfer for the 3 positions I was working. Everything has worked out for me personally, but I feel so bad for the remaining staff.

Thank for the info. If I make it past March, I’ll then get in line to get laid off.

Tell you direct manager that you volunteer for the next layoff. They will lie and say that there isn't a list like that. You should be included in the next layoff.

I did it. Talk to your boss. As been said on this board many times - there’s a list. Get on it. Don’t let them deny it exists.

My coworker asked to be included in next layoff and consider it a retirement. He did give 6 months notice for retirement.

It worked out well for him and the team, he saved someone’s job, at least for that round.
