Any Omaha employees interested in unionizing?

Hi, I’m a Level 1 Manager based in Omaha, and I think it’s time to unionize. I’ve reached my limit. To initiate an official NLRB election in our office, we need signatures from just 30% of Level 1 managers and below in Omaha.

Do you think there’s interest? I’m happy to take the lead in organizing and would love your help. If you have any ideas on how to get this process started, I’m all ears. I’m considering creating a non-work-related website and email for sign-ups to keep things separate from work systems. Let me know your thoughts!

Just find another company to work for instead of doing stupid sh-t that doesn't help you.

I swear y'all are some of the d-mbest people. These posts really reveal that.

It can come down to responsibilities a manager has. Some managers are eligible for a union membership under certain circumstances.

Source: union organizer I spoke to when checking into how to get started nearly a year ago.

Additionally, low level managers benefit from a union even if they're not members because most of the concessions the union get apply to them in some way as well.

Managers have no right to unionize under the National Labor Relations Act. 29 U.S.C. § 164(a)

I’m in Omaha and been an employee for a seriously long time. If you think unionizing is going to help you you’re delusional. As was said above FB hates Omaha but we still make just enough $ to keep us open but giving him reasons to shut us down faster will only make FB’s day.

So there is no downside.

What union would you join? While I understand the desire for a sense of security I’m not sure this accomplishes that goal. FB wants to shut Omaha down completely. A union will accelerate that plan.

I have been trying for the past 5 months to start a union. I so far have managed to conspire with about 4 people at my omaha location and we are all ready to unionize. I as well would be willing to help organize and lead this, but I am not a manager, just an employee. You need to be more active, especially if you are a manager, you have more reach and can easily spread the word with less risk. I am working at the Pacific location in Omaha.
