I used to work 6:30a to 3:30p - No Lunch & No Break. Didn't visit around, waste any time and was productive.
Job always required me to be on site and I don't have any sympathy for those RTO.
But. Starting today. I show up at 8a and leave at 5p. I take a lunch hour and 2 ea. 15 min. breaks. I still work but no longer multi- task.
Boss wanted my cell phone number for call outs - Nope - so I changed my vender & number and no longer have a LL and my internet is now VZ 5G.
8 hours HA!! have id--t techs that barely do 1 hours worth of work and get paid 8!
gotta love the union for making us carry all this dead weight!!!
I noticed people were more available on teams.
I and team did 1 each of the hour and did trade the turns.
Now I will watch recorded teams meeting and put volumes to phone. AI does do the listening for teams meeting.
Can't say that I had a favorite part, but perhaps things get better...
You weren’t doing more than 8 hours before RTO. You know this. T leadership knows this.
However many hours you put in, it's more talking that actual working though.
I’m seeing so much productivity here. Love it!
Never work more than 8, unless they are paying you overtime.
Got my 8 -- it can wait. Out the door at 4!
I was out the door after my 8 hours today. It felt good to leave work while it was still light out in the winter. It saved me 30 minutes on my commute.
Did the same. 4pm I was out the door.
Left em on the desk. Be there tomorrow.
Airplane mode at 5, it can wait.
