They don’t care about your competence, skill and experience. They don’t care about the criticality of your role, dedication, or for how long you have been with the company. They only care about how much you cost the company. In the same vein, they don’t care about productivity or morale, whether we are happy or are doing well. They only care about cheap headcount reduction, even better if it’s for free. Hence the RTO. It’s that simple. They’ll extract cash for as long as they can, they’ll run the T to the ground, and then move on to the next victim.
