They can toss as much work my way as they want, but it’s not happening. They’ve cut too many people, shoved the extra onto us, and we’ve gone along with it. That’s on us, too. They’ll keep testing limits if we keep giving in. Well, I’m done playing along. I’m too old for this nonsense.

We've all noticed it. Garages are ghost towns. Central Offices feel like liminal spaces. Former business offices are even worse, or they no longer even turn on the lights. The only thing you can do is ride the verizon wave, until it crashes on the shore.
Yes, Verizon has laid off a whole bunch of folks and doesn't show much sign of narrowing ambition and actually focusing. Instead, leadership still wants to do it all - no need to prioritize or make decisions - and lays the same big ol' steaming pile of work at the feet of those that remain. Are there really people on here debating this? Now I know who actually works for Verizon on this board and who doesn't. Not who is an "employee"... Who WORKS.
It's useful on a board like this, which is trying to give us all a sense of how our jobs might be impacted, to compare notes. So, OP, me too. People disappearing all around me, and I am just expected to absorb their work. Good luck, Verizon. What do we think happens to quality in all this chaos and demotivation? Have you seen the episode with Lucy and Ethel and the chocolates?
The level of Verizon kool aid drinking is hilarious. These people don’t give a cr-p about you. They literally only care about shareholders yet those still drinking the koolaid have nothing better to do but post on a site trying to stick up for big red. Laughable
I can do it too. Just watch!
OP's a knuckle head.
Looks like the OP has learned the secret to upvoting his own comments numerous times while simultaneously down-voting those calling his bluff, and just about the same amount of times.
Typical call center representative. WFH is tough for them.
Verizon don't need slackers the likes of you. Go work for a small company that has limited benefits. Bye bye
Good we will offshore your work.
Adios
You can quit
