• Individuals with integrity do not exploit those less fortunate.
• Greed can be deliberate, harmful, and very Purposeful.
• You had the opportunity to be a hero; instead, you risk being remembered as a common thief. Imagine the esteem you could have earned by emulating exemplary CEOs who, along with their executive teams, temporarily and voluntarily reduce their salaries and bonuses to provide employees with livable wages, especially considering the inadequacy of current cost-of-living adjustments.

Nicely Stated. It really makes you wonder about the mental capacity of some "leaders". While they live in a world (bubble) where they have achieved a self perceived "higher understanding", the Truth is revealed that they never have, never were, and never will be. They all have to pay the Devil his due in the end.

Ackchyually, no.

While the merger between BB&T and SunTrust was officially presented as a "Merger of Equals" (MOE), in practice, BB&T possessed superior technology, policies, competence, and a more substantial financial foundation, effectively resulting in the acquisition of SunTrust. Following the departure of CEO KK, numerous senior and mid-level managers from BB&T were offered substantial packages to resign or retire. Subsequently, leadership roles were increasingly assumed by SunTrust managers, reducing potential conflicts. The Board and Executive Leadership (EL) were restructured, with appointments favoring individuals aligned with CEO Billy. This restructuring led to decreased dissent, a small reduction of the EL, but the creation of a committee exceeding 20 members, resulting in significant bonuses and compensation packages. These financial incentives were funded by workforce reductions, adversely affecting experienced employees, and by diminishing working conditions, including minimal merit raises, a 2% reduction in 401(k) matching contributions, lower-quality insurance, and challenges associated with return-to-office and hybrid work models. Additionally, the offshoring of jobs to managed services firms left tens of thousands without income, while CEO Billy invested in private aircraft and increased Truist's liabilities by sponsoring a PGA Tour event.
Numerous other issues have emerged across various departments within Truist.
Billy, as you travel between Atlanta and Charlotte aboard your new jet, benefiting from these decisions, consider the many current and former Truist employees who are now working multiple jobs to support their families and meet their financial obligations like food and shelter.

It ain’t that serious… I worked there awhile, used to check this so still do on occasion. That being said, I am glad I gave a miserable person a chance to feel better about themselves with my post.

I came in after the merger but it is apparent to everyone the BB&T leaders were systematically eliminated or run off, it is one of those worst kept secrets this was the plan and all they had to do was wait out Kelly and then it would just be Sun Trust all over again. I wonder how many were in on that plan and if Kelly knew it before he left.

Not saying Truist is a great place to work but Bender and Anderson are both decent guys working hard to make the place better. It might be best to take a look at the talent that was exited and ask how effective they were.

Things were definitely better under BB&T leadership. They got rid of all the BB&T folks who had a heart and kept select snakes like Bender and Anderson, and the diversity play Donta.

SunTrust culture is nasty and backstabbing.
