My team was significantly affected in previous layoffs. I was surprised whom they chose to cut. Any reputable organization would try to retain such people. Now it's already become very noticeable that some of the best people were laid off. It caused irreparable damage to our team.

Well, in my department, they don’t lay you off. They just keep adding your workload to the point that you got overwhelmed and you quit yourself. Very sly
Here is their formula for job lay offs
Highest paid employees doesn’t matter how good they are …. They are gone
Highest paid (which May be highest performing employees) are being cut
Housing is going to be in the dumps for years to come. Time to figure out a better career option.
