DC overload

Anyone else’s club behind in DC’s?? I’m not talking 1 or 2…. I’m talking 7 or more . Our club has so many DC’s sitting out in the lot and we have no steel space . Everyone is stocking like crazy but we just can’t keep up. Some of the products we are getting are ridiculous , tons of clothing ( ugly stuff too) pallets and pallets of items that already don’t sell. To top it off UPS delivered 3 more pallets of books that won’t get stocked out.. we just add them to the area of the other 6 pallets of books that just sit there. Home office .. listen up .. get rid of books and the buyers who are over buying so much extra cr-p .. and the ones who are buying ugly clothes ..

Unload them onto an empty DC trailer when you run out of room in the steel and in Receiving. 😅

At the club I work AM shift is doing all the stocking, then going to freezer/cooler to stock there too. We can not go on like this.

It is the end of the 3rd quarter so they are force feeding merchandise. They use the term “uncomfortably full.” I call it a safety issue on many levels. The gluttony of the biggest retailer in the world. Hang in there y’all!

I cant take it anymore. Pressure by the Assistant manager is almost abusive because us merchandisers cant stack, stock, wrap and label 6 to 8 pallets an hour. we have to move multiple pallets to even find a place for new stuff to fit somewhere. I'm done. team lead has to figure it out. Accountability means figure it out when I'm GONE! Accountability my A.. BYE!

All our top steel is double stacked. Very difficult to clear steel space with the 2 people we have stocking on any given day. We keep losing people and there seems to be no interest in replacing them. The holiday season is fast approaching. All aboard the train to the s#%t show.

It’s ridiculous how much freight is coming in, just for it to end up going to liquidation or return center that the back room associates will have to find time to send back! The buyers are id--ts. How about sending clubs 30 pallets of state li---r one week and the next week 1 pallet! Umm hellloo, here’s an idea, SPREAD IT OUT! Oh wait, can’t do that because it might not be a “deal “ so company might have to pay more and that would mean less money in the pocket 😡 mgrs don’t care how much freight because they aren’t the ones that have to find a place in the steel!

We were behind like 40 or 50 trucks, but Steve worked several minutes on the video camera and we got caught up just like that.

Inundate the clubs with excessive and ridiculous amounts of freight in an attempt to prove to the powers that be that every club can be a $150 million dollar club. It’s preposterous. Why do you think that the amount of liquidation that is being sent out is higher than ever? The clubs cannot sell all this over abundance of junk that is being sent to them!

Our club has EVERYTHING double stacked in the top steel. But that doesn't mean we have room for more DC's, water, paper, soda, etc. It is ridiculous and I too believe that there will be a terrible accident. This company is asking us to do the impossible!!! It's becoming more and more stressful and unbearable to be a backroom associate.

Yes. Overload. Can’t keep up and only 2 of us left in backroom. Everyone quit. Dock not cleared at night and puts us far behind in the am with trucks coming in right away. Ridiculous. Accidents are going to start to happen if they haven’t already.

All cought up at my club. Been working 6 to 7 days a week to do it though. When I was on night shift I would usually get overtime during November and December, but now it’s year round. If u want to know how they can afford so much overtime it’s probably because they only give us a 2% raise every year wile marking the stuff we buy up to 15% each year😉. We are actually getting a pay cut each year.
