I know hating on AT&T is popular here and I'll agree that there are some major issues with the company, but personally, I love my job. I enjoy helping people and I am well paid for what I do. So many of you are hoping to be cut and I would be devastated if that happened to me. Honestly, this would be my perfect job if not for the constant threat of layoffs.

I loved my job too...for about 5 years. Until the DeathStar brought Cingular Wireless back in house. You see, we had a great group of Analysts on the wireless side with good managers, good pay, bonuses weren't jacked with.... CW wasn't perfect but it was a well run subsidiary. Then we all got moved to ATT. Wireline was losing money and literally Wireless was keeping the company afloat. You'd think we CW folks would be welcomed. Nope! Quite the opposite. Legacy T employees hated us. Treated us with disdain and contempt. Management talked down to us, gave us the sh---y projects, treated us like we didn't know what we were doing.
I have come to understand that is what T does to all companies it acquires. No appreciation for workers at all.
So glad to be away finally from this Shithole of a company.

The anger here is people can can move with the times. Too lazy to update their skills.
The cancer will slowly start to disappear starting early 2023 with massive cuts. Those that are not supporting Mobility & Fiber have been placed on notice.
Unfortunately Stink has enacted some horrific actions. He wants all to forget. The anger you see is from those who have seen his true face.
There are some workers that are like a cancer, just looking to bring down the healthy and productive. They exist just to ruin someone's day.
There may be a few that actually like their jobs. But remember you will be either promoted or kicked to the curb within 5 years. T only wants transient employees. No more cradle to grave!

You simply don’t get it. It’s not the job, it’s the environment everyone works in. Next you’ll say, people should be grateful for everything T has done for them…..smh. Most ARE grateful for providing a good living, but it goes far deeper than that. Spend more time here and maybe you’ll understand.

All the complaining can stop if T would just spin off wireline. Time to cut bait and run on legacy infrastructure.
