Some cretin a while back claimed that the grass was greener on the other side. I'm here to tell you that's not even close to the truth. I left Oracle about a year ago and it turns out the grass is actually BROWN on both sides. The money might have been better, but the job s*cks just like it did here.

The grass is greener on the other side. Our group to include director were let go in July 2020. As a long time employee I got my six months severance. Took a month off and then found a contract job in less than 2 months, worked that for one year and jumped to the cruise line industry for another contract position. It is a blessing in disguise, great group of folks, treated all employees with respect, clear focus and goals, I don't have to deal with EVP/VP's who are full of themselves. God works mysterious ways to say the least!
“Job sucks just like it did here”??? Freudian slip perhaps? Sounds like you are still “here”. I.E an Oracle crony
(ˈkrəʊ.ni/ a friend, or a person who works for someone in authority, especially one who is willing to give and receive dishonest help)
You must have been traumatized throughout your career to say this. I feel sorry for you bc the grass is always greener somewhere else besides Oracle.
Did you end up at salesforce, I hear the oracle culture is creeping in there.
Anyway, I left the same time as you it depends on the company, I find the bigger the company is, generally the more unhappy you will be, just accept your a number that is tied to output / value nothing else.
It's greener for a lot of us. Anyway, as you claim, if both jobs suck, at least you are making more money. So, by your own admission, the grass was actually greener for you!
Grass. This is an HR plant.
May be u ended up in a wrong boat
