Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Can a DM please explain..

Why are we pushing an Outlook target? I’m from an Ohio store and my RM is up in arms about an outlook target, but can’t explain what it actually is and I’m having a hard time understanding why some stores have much higher outlook targets than other stores and why are we even shooting for this astronomical number. Please help me understand.

Outlook is a failed math equation. It can change from month to month or even week to week. Keep in mind the people who create 'outlook' refuse to acknowledge months of failure and leadership gaps. They want a number (outlook) to pay for upcoming events and so on...however, out network is not superior anymore and we are competing with Tmo on a much lower price point and AT&T who offers a M+H benefit, both with a similar network. Retail needs to demand Krista leave or contact a resource to unify yourself.

Outlook is what you need to hit so your store doesn't get closed. At least how they take about it in finance. If you miss it doesn't mean you'll close, it just means it's on the table when KB calls down and asks for her pound of flesh.

Outlook is what we used go call plan

VZ already announced a reduction in outlook because there is no way we are going to hit those growth target. That's what caused the initial drop in the stock price. The reason why retail directors/VPs are trying tomget back on board to push it is because the stock is taking a sh-t and there is no end in sight for recovery. They are trying tonoush growth to make up the gap to outlook to salvage as much as possible.
