Intel to Lay Off Up to 20% of Staff

It looks like both Oracle and Intel employees will be hunting for work side-by-side. Except unlike Oracle, Intel went out of their way to communicate that it's happening. JM, LJE, SC, and the crew will be transparent about anything.

Word is Oracle will lay off a significant number close to the mid term election to add to the Republican. They want to undermine Biden and the Democrats, so look to November 4th.

From the report:

“ Intel is also looking to consolidate some operations and close some smaller outposts after a series of acquisitions Oregonlive said on Friday.”

Been in the SC industry. It is highly cyclical and is considered a forecast of the entire chip manufacturing ecosystem. (Or at least it always was).

Last I checked, the demand for chips and the like has been out of sight. Priced a new car or truck lately?

Intel is getting ready for the next bo-m in their business, new US plants coming on line not just Intel but AMD and whoever makes mobile CPUs these days.

Folks in that business will be FINE, trust me.

Is intel using this as an excuse to clean house and get rid of what ever they consider “undesirables”. Well, of course…. It’s a codified management technique now.

Will NEVER be transparent about anything. RWS could explode and as long as Larry's boat is OK, you won't know a thing unless you look at police reports.
