She's gone as of the end of the year. Verizon has decided that no one inside Verizon has any value or good ideas, and it continues to backfire from the CEO and all the way down. She was an external hire and was in over her head.
They've sidelined me, and I'm mostly accused of having all of the good ideas and being right. Instead, they're going with someone taking us all the way to total failure and embarrassment.
Now, I'm not at the exec level, but it's the same thing - external candidate that's made every wrong decision possible and was put in charge of finding solutions she's incapable of finding. For a variety of reasons, I can't quit. Unfortunately, I can't sit idly by. I'll either be following this post up with a promotion or new excitement or my firing announcement.
When did ignorant or fake caring replace competence and good ideas? I never horded the good ideas; I shared them freely. And yet, they'd rather recreate the titanic.
