The accuracy in the brainwashed part. I’ve been here 6 years, JG12, manufacturing life the whole time, and even though 3M has the best relocation bonus I’ve seen, committing myself to this dumpster fire of a company for 2 more years for JG13 is just a horrific thought.
I know some folks who have had faster careers in St. Paul, but those are outliers. When looking externally the biggest thing I notice is how terrible our bonus is. Most companies I’ve talked to are 10% minimum, more like 15-20% of base salary target, versus the 7% for JG12 and it goes up a couple % at a time until finally reaching 20% at JG17 which is just an insanely low bonus target compared to peer companies. And not only is the 3M target % low, the payout has been absolutely horrific the past 6 years. 2021 was the only year I broke 100% without a performance boost.
And this is entirely on the compensation part, whereas the biggest issue to me is how much the culture has went to he-l in the past 4 years.
