Your right, it's not right but nobody who is a manager in this company gives a rats a-s. Sam Walton is crying in his grave at what this company has become.

Too many times I witnessed positions filled by whomever they wanted. Someone off the streets? A new hire that’s kissed the right butts? Someone who threw a big enough fit? Someone else wanted their position so that person threw a fit?
I did almost ten years with the company: witnessed a lot and heard a lot.
I’ve been away for about two years and hear things from friends that are still there.

Management can hire someone off the streets if they want to. Someone who has never stepped foot in a store before can become a lead. They do it all the time. It doesn't make a difference that you've worked in that store. They hire who they want. And that his dad worked corporate will only get you fired for complaining and what are you going to do? This is the way of the world.

I don't see what the big problem is. Nepotism is a beautiful and erotic part of our society.

if you have been around several years and are in the vicinity of $20 an hour, stay put. the money over that will not be worth it.
If you need the extra money, it is best to pickup a part time job. you likely already have a set schedule that will allow that. Leads have a $h!tty rotating schedule where their days off differ from week to week. They only get back to back days once a month.

Well count urself lucky for real. I wanted it for years or I thought I did when I finally got it I hated it. I truly hated it. The money is not worth the headache. I promise you stay where you are you will be much better off and let him have it. I have not found a lead get that has been happy they became a lead.

He won’t last. It’s not like being a lead is something desirable.
