Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Layoff Criteria

Does anyone have information on the criteria that was used for these layoffs? In my case I am the most senior and oldest on a team of 3 with good yearly reviews, but I was cut.

There’s a Humana policy called the Talent Redeployment Policy that lays out the process for determining which associates are eliminated during a RIF. To me, it’s all subjective based on how your manager feels about you personally. I’ve asked HR to see my Point in Time Assessment but not sure if they’ll let me

Wasn’t the oldest for the group I know about. Claimed it was “performance based”. How, who knows…performance in candy land simulations?

This falls in line with our dept too. The oldest was cut who was close to retiring anyways

They will never release it, since the 3rd party evaluation team did the ranking

My hearts go out to all of you. I too was laid off as well of my team of bright middle aged women. What we found interesting was that they valued our work enough to transition it on, but not enough to keep us (who created, designed, and maintained the complex analytics from the inception). What I found uniquely interesting is that we aren't "yes men". And, I took a promotion without a raise and started talking about how its unfair. We saw this coming a mile away. All I know is I've had discussions with Cigna since the pain and you should reach out/apply. The culture seems night and day different. YOU DESERVE TO BE TREATED LIKE THE AMAZING PERSON THAT YOU ARE. Not shadows living in this s-xist, agist, abusive culture at Humana.

I am older too. Criteria is akin to the dark arts. The PITA used will have evaluations of your performance and attitude. Once that's done it disappears into HR where they are 'supposed' to ensure, anyone impacted is not being discriminated against due to the usual milestones, S-x, Race, the usual. I just read another post on here talking about HR. Having watched that video I do wonder if these safety rails are just for the companies benefit, that they can EXPLAIN any perceived bias.

Humana have a cadre of Lawyers and it's no surprise that the company also has a very heavy footprint in Right to Work States. Not much chance of getting them in court. Sadly we couldn't all get the same working conditions and contract that BB got.
