It’s a corporation, and it values profit. You can’t expect Humana to value you as a person, despite its talk about “the values.” It only values any of us as long as we remain useful to its goals and direction. Once the goals and direction change, so does the value proposition you brought.
You have to value yourself. You have to look out for your own interests. See Humana for what it is—a job that gives you a paycheck. Learn as much as you can. Do your best work, not for Humana but for your own self-worth. Keep your eyes open for new opportunities. Have integrity, not because Humana values it but because you value it.
