We found out what branches will be closing in March 2023. But was assured no one is losing their job. Where will we work if there are no openings within a hour commute. Was also told that staffing in the branches will be analyzed again in January. We all know that means staff cuts. Anyone have insight on layoffs for branches and possibly Operations? My question is “what does Operations BOP’s do? If we cut staff - people will just quit. This past year was the worse in my working history all do to staffing. Definitely not ideal working conditions.

As a Truist customer we were not even notified of the closing. We were on vacation and came home. I had a cash deposit to make. Drove up and everything was shuttered. You have to understand Truist. These bank employees were like family. They knew every customer and face by name. They asked about our families. Didn’t even have a chance to say Thank you or good-bye. Now we have to drive downtown to a small parking lot and go inside for every transaction. We are transferring to a different bank. Not the way to keep customers.
As a customer there is no sign or info informing the Truist customers that their bank location will be closing in roughly a month. We are in a rural area and this "little" branch handles quite a few customers. I can't believe they didn't map out their customer addresses and realize that they will most likely lose a large percentage of those customers because it will force people to go between 7-18 miles further just to get to the other Truist location. Way to go Corporate.
I am
Does anyone have a complete list of branches closing down? I cannot find anything anywhere.
Pay attention, people, we are losing the economic growth which had been experienced during the last 10 years. Go the Truist branch in Largo, and you do not even have a sign posted to go to a nearest Branch. Just CLOSED.
They basically told their employees take what they have to offer or quit there is no severance pay. Some of their employees. Cannot take what they have to offer because they don’t have the ability to commute they walk to their current location.
Using TRUIST as a base, drop the "I" and what do you have TRUST, and that isn't something that I can not do with this business
They're closing branches everywhere, PNC, Truist, Wells. Banking is not a great career anymore. Truist is the only one not transparent and will lead you on until you're not needed anymore. Get out if you van, the SunTruist way will only get worse and the employees that been converted to SunTruist will sp-t you out like a used piece of chewing gum.
Is there a list of the branches closing in March 2023?
Before I left (2021), I saw a spreadsheet that listed all the branch closures over the next 10 years.
We were told our branch is closing before Thanksgiving as well. They said we would all have jobs. There is a hiring freeze so looking for something internally is thin pickings. Really sad to tell us before the holidays.
Truist stands for better!
Not better working conditions
Nor better stock performance
Nor better executive leadership
Nor better opportunities
Certainly not better client experiences
Better for Beau and Bill though
Everyone is so spot on. The bank uses you up and throws you away. Everything we were told would not happen during/after merger has happened. No mgr support and exec mgmt is demeaning and condescending to associates. Horrible satisfaction surveys about exec mgmt and they tell the minions we are the ones that have to do more and have to do better.
DON'T BELIEVE THAT!!! They just trying to keep everyone from leaving before that time. GET OUT NOW
Are all states having branch closures? If not, which ones will be hit the most?
Anything to pump up the falling stock price.
Anything
Many branches closing by me, everyone not getting jobs. They are frightened and applying everywhere, no openings that are comparable and in area, the bank just doesn’t care. News had no heads-up, news dropped right before thanksgiving and Christmas, truist stands for better. This bank doesn’t care. They are laying off so many banks by me and sending longtime employees who were loyal pre merger onto the streets looking for a job, meanwhile they could have and should have left when truist was struggling. Now it’s gridlock with holidays and family matters and they want people to get their resumes ready because truist is done with them. Pretty toxic. Definitely one of the worst banks I’ve worked for. They are making their rounds.
Glad I took retirement pkg and gone from all the stress and mistreatment. God Bless to you all and especially this time of the year! God only gives you what you can handle…you will move on and find a better place to work.
I can confirm. Internal reports tie job reductions to branch closures. We expect every affected to banker to be gone within 4 months.
Ask your boss…..
They know
"But was assured no one is losing their job."
Please tell me you aren't gullible enough to believe that! After all you've seen since the merger first began?
