What are the chances they release us before Jan 9th? say.. before Christmas?

I was released immediately as of the day of the conference call I was on. That was on 11/8. I am receiving full pay/benefits until January 9 2023. Severance after that.

I was part of the RIF this time last year. Our last day of work was scheduled for January 3rd (if I remember correctly) but we were released from duty December 11th. I wish you the best of luck in these difficult times.

You are supposed to log off and stop working the day you are RIFed. You are given the 60 days access to "look internally" for a non existent job. While still being paid full pay. Then your package starts, should be two weeks for every year you have been there. You will get paid as usual then once that is completed apply for unemployment.

@bsm+1jErSZFq- part of the issue is we don’t know who was RIFd and who wasn’t, so it’s a weird time for everyone. I know some people in my region that were impacted and I’ve reached out to them privately, but it’s a hard thing to put in water cooler chats because everyone handles it differently and there are different transitions going on. Some of us that weren’t RIFd are still going through shock and grief about who was impacted. Our hearts ache for our coworkers and wish w3 could make things better, but the bottom line is, we still have to move forward as you all start focusing on things more outside of your role

The severance packet states that the last 2 weeks are given to ficus on your career. So by the middle of December everyone will be done. The packet is on the transition site to read.

Last year 300 nurses and social workers took voluntary layoffs and another 150 were laid off. Most of the employees were released after 1 December

Honestly, it’s likely. I would just mentally prepare and act like you’re going to be released early, and I would start making adjustments to your budget, keeping a close eye on your savings account, and prepare to start looking for another job. This whole thing really sucks! :-(

Very likely. I’ve seen six-seven rounds of layoffs and never known anyone to be asked to stay til the end. In fact, many people I know were released immediately to a few days later!
