Friends with many years of experience, who mentored and showed me the ropes are being let go on short notice and NOTHING is said. Team meetings are cancelled, but all we hear from management is how excited we should be about moving into a new quadrant!

the world, business and everything has changed but the billionaires who run the world are stuck in the old paradigm.
There was some glimmer of hope that corporate America would come to its senses about the worth and measurement of work outputs. The mental health and well-being of employees was at the forefront. Leaders were tripping over each other bragging about the productivity of their newly remote teams in a difficult situation.
Then they flipped the script. Remote work BAD. Productivity DOWN. Recession COMING. Solution: return to the office.
We all went “Huh”? We can clearly see how corporate collusion has created inflation. We can see the puppet strings of the billionaires creating this illusion to SCARE us into submission.
Guess what? ITS NOT WORKING. No one showed up at Twitter headquarters the day after Boy Elon cancelled all remote work. The job market is still strong, regardless of all the layoffs.
Keep pushing back. Keep forcing mgmt to confront reality. Wherever it happens to intrude.

Well the bottom IS a new quadrant AND excitement can be defined as agitation in a negative way, so in many ways, they are telling the truth.
