@1pwe I disagree that Nike’s severance is meager. It may not match Silicon Valley levels but that doesn’t make it meager. I got let go in 2021 after many years at Nike and received just over 6 months of severance. It only took me 2 months to be working at another company so I essentially had an extra $45K “exit bonus” left over. Compare that to where my husband works at a large manufacturing company. They had a large layoff in 2020 and the most senior employees got 2 months of severance. Most people got 1 month with anyone under 4 years of service getting a whole 2 weeks worth of severance. THAT was meager.

What if someone has a heart attack or something else in the empty buildings. Who monitors that?
Maybe Nike could actually start paying for work that was done to build their headquarters? Total garbage company.

This type of severance is not that unusual in big tech firms in Silicon Valley. The company I used to work for down there would give you a month of pay for every year you had been at the company if there was a layoff. When I heard about the meager severance that Nike pays out, I was actually pretty shocked.
Will never happen with JD at the helm. He’s not a good guy.
lol it's 4 months minimum and that's because zuck genuinely feels bad and admitted that he f'ed up by over hiring. say what you want about zuck but that's something you'll never get from nike and especially not from jd who relishes in the thought of terminating people
