Interesting that the Pulse survey is launching on 10/17 and RIFs are rumored for 10/27.
So it can either be that they want people to be afraid to be honest with feedback for fear of losing their job so the scores will be high. Or they want to see who the complainers are to get them out of the business.
Don't fall for the idea that pulse is anonymous. This is how artificial selection at Verizon works. DO NOT DO IT.
Decisions have already been made on who is getting cut. Business cases are finishing up with HR for Network. So, the Pulse survey won’t matter in that regard. There will be 10 questions on this 4Q one. My 2 cents is to be as specific as possible on the verbatim portion. When employees mention leadership, they assume it is your direct Mgr or Director, maybe it is, but if you like them, be clear you mean Sr leadership VP and above.
It’s sucks watching talent leave or be pushed out left and right.
So think about it, they say the survey is anonymous yet the email is addressed to you and you cannot forward it. They say the survey is anonymous yet they know if you've taken it or not. That's all I need to know. We don't have to take it but they will try their hardest to get you to take it even though they shouldn't know if you've taken it or not..........

What is RIF ?
I’ve been giving bad reviews on pulse for years and they keep passing over me for a RIF so it is far from guaranteed.
So if I want to be RIFed I just gotta give sh-t reviews on pulse? Don’t get my hopes up.
It would be amazing if no one did it! They are so hung up on our great participation I think they’d croak.
Or the timing of one has nothing to do with the other. They will have already made their who to RIF list well before the survey results come out.
