Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Who might buy Verizon?

As the stock price continues to fall, we may be getting to a state what we could become a takeover target.

Who do you think would consider taking a run at us?

How about Frontier.

The new motto - "Verizon, the new Frontier"

No one. Too much debt, too much regulatory oversight.

Google always wanted their own network. Now's their chance.

Alphabet (Google). They have enough cash on hand alone to buy a controlling interest 20+ times over. - $145 billion cash on hand for Google compared to just under $5 billion outstanding stock value for Verizon.

Will the regulators let Google do this without divesting their phone business is another story?

These FANG companies didn't get rich investing in companies with the likes of Verizon.

Come on people, Verizon is a liability not an asset. With $136B in debt and our market position being reduced daily, who would want Verizon? Anyone who thinks Verizon is even remotely marketable is delusional.

Alphabet has been toying with cell service. Why not buy Verizon and return it to it's glory years.

Musk will not buy Verizon. Aligned with the magenta colored competitor where consumers are greater in number, but Verizon has more business customers.

Jeff Bezos, of course!

He's got his foot in the door with the AWS equipment already installed in VZW MTSOs

He wastes more money on his Blue Origins' Flying Phallus.

Apple has the cash to take on all the debt. But even if Tim Cook became surprisingly crazy to actually try, the gov't probably wouldn't allow it for anti-trust

The FB, AMZN and GOOG don't care about the debt load that is more than paid by CFFO. They care about equity ownership of the network.

With a debt load of $136B, ain't no company gonna touch Verizon with a ten foot pole!
I would love for AT&T and Verizon to merge, yes I know, regulators would never allow it. But could you imagine the merged company with $271B of debt? That would be amazing!

Verizon is a regretful MBA business case study. The competition does not have the debt load nor the labor union to drag the bottom line. And the corporate woke initiatives are also a drag.

Why, what are the synergies???
What does VZ have which can be exploited???
If the Verizon network was unequivocally #1 then possibly and which it is no longer in the lead #1 position.
