Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Things to think about

I really did think I would be here forever. But now that I won't be, I can see it is a blessing in disguise.

This was a great run, but being in love with a company is a mistake. I see now just how much more I did because I thought of it as "my" company.

I see now how management used that to get more work out of me.

At the end of my 12th hour working, I told myself it was great for the career, great for the company, and they'll reward me.

Nope. They will end my employment the same way they cancel a printer lease. Without a second thought. You too, you know.

Perfectly said, @tia+1j4dN0ae.

Your manager is not your friend. No one is. The behaviors I saw reminded me movies like mad max. There was no law just tribes good and bad. When you finally do leave you’ll ask yourself why you didn’t do it earlier. The entire thing should be pushed into a sink ho-e.

Yes, never trust a manager. Never have personal data on company laptop. Separate you personal from company. At any moment, a piece sh-t might block your access out and format your laptop.

Just be professional. Attempt not be a fu----g liar and think the manager is your friend. He is not. He takes the words from you to discuss them with his manager

A bunch of re--rds liars.
