Reading some of these posts, I got the impression that most of them are emotionally attached to this company. Was VMWare really a place that gave a sense of belonging to so many people? For me personally that's not the case and I would definitely leave, even if the acquisition was never mentioned.

The company is shlt. The “leaders” still hanging around are shlt too.. Wake up. Vmw is a joke. Land of the loss and broken toys.
Purnima P?
What is the name of the Indian lady who leads the cloud management BU? She and all her BU are to be let go.
Yeah, I'm not attached at all. 😅
I really did think I would be here forever. But now that I won't be, I can see it is a blessing in disguise.
This was a great run, but being in love with a company is a mistake. I see now just how much more I did because I thought of it as "my" company.
I see now how management used that to get more work out of me.
At the end of my 12th hour working, I told myself it was great for the career, great for the company, and they'll reward me.
Nope. They will end my employment the same way they cancel a printer lease. Without a second thought. You too, you know.
The emotional attachment is to an easy life.
