The Hive is Humana's in-house marketing agency from my google search. Assume they will outsource like everything else.
What is the hive?
Marketing fold that are impacted will be notified last week of October. The Hive will be hit the hardest.
CQES- Clinical Quality and Enterprise solutions. My prior post with leader’s initials was taken down. Not sure why because this information is available on line.
Below poster, read this thread, it’s all there
What is the PITA process?
What is CQES?
I did not receive that email, maybe region specific
OMG
Listed CQES organization objectives and listed how departments were realigned under whom. Objectives included those special phrases of “generate value” “affordability” “improve efficiencies”
Below poster, didn’t get that email, what did it say?
and yet another email just out with realignments of departments.
A lot of people work at Humana. In the past the reorgs and RIFs have primarily impacted case management but entire UM and support teams have been dissolved too. This time around it’s going to be very different. Reorg news, departures and “retirements” started months ago. When senior level folks (Director and above) announce they are leaving the company or retiring, that’s a red flag. UM is being transformed this time around along with every other support and administration departments.
3luo+1j1VPlQn- does anyone know for sure? No, it’s a best guess. And, that’s the process for a large RIF. That’s not to say for a smaller one, it may happen anytime, since that happens too. If a team is being shut down, then the PITA process doesn’t matter, everyone is being let go, so the process is different. Maybe some departments are getting hit tomorrow, but that probably won’t be the end of it.
At one point, at one RIF, awhile ago, we were told the process. HR doesn’t decide, the third party review is in place to make sure there is no discrimination and then they send the information back to HR. HR then has to figure out everyone’s severance and prepare the mailings that go out. If I recall correctly, one RIF years ago, those that were impacted actually got a heads up because of the mail notification they were getting something from Humana. That usually comes a few days after the meeting, so I guess they corrected that timing issue.
Respectfully, last poster, how do you know for sure please? Thank you
Not possible, that early. the PITAs were just done, they have to go to a third party review and then HR has to prepare all the paperwork for all those impacted.
I've heard they could come as early as 10/7.
And, it can be any day the email comes. It’s an invite to a meeting, very short notice and it says do not forward it and you won’t be able to see who else is getting the email

If you’re impacted, you’ll usually get a last minute invite to join a meeting on a Friday or a Monday. Timing wise it usually occurs the last week in October, however I’ve heard notices for market RIFs and other realignments may be sent out a little sooner so possibly starting mid-October.
No, below poster, it will be towards the end of the month due to the third part review that needs to be done prior to HR getting the information and HR getting prepared. And, there’s the 60 day notice that usually correlates to the end of a quarter. Look towards the last week of October
Can be anytime this month.
You would get an email saying to come to a meeting and not to forward that email, and it’s usually sent within 12 hours of the meeting, I’d look for it to be coming the last week of October
