The layoffs will all be handled at the BG/DIV level. That is why there has been nothing from the coward CEO. No announcements on how many in total because 3M does not want the publicity.

I have been telling people for the last 12 months or longer that the company has a serious financial problem and they need to get out of there. They ignored the advice and now other companies are executing layoffs. Sometimes it pays to listen to older people. They’ve seen this movie before.

No communication from CEO/CFO internally as they are witless cowards.
All business and all function and area are having layoff across whole company. Trying to hide it because leadership at top level don't want to own their mistakes. Most area are 10+%, so the math says 9000 or so by the end.
It’s a blood bath in USAC 3M. 3M is spinning off its healthcare division to be a separate company but after this layoff they are not going to have much to spin-off. So many people are laid off. People that have worked for 3M for several years. It’s definitely not the company it used to be. I chose 3M because of their values but there are no morals or values left at 3M.
50% of ambulatory care sales reps gone.
I spent 23+ years with the safety division. World’s most ethical company my a-s. Some ex-employees of mine said the cuts started yesterday. Some folks with over 30 years were getting chopped. It’s a “I’ll show you” after this unethical organization wasn’t allowed bankruptcy protection. Disgraceful!
Since we are all sure that probably not many know that 3M is for the better term downsizing. Wonder how much the stock will drop once the word gets outs?
