Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Why the bitter comments?

I would understand the bitter comments if things were about to get better for those of us who are not affected. But why be happy that some will lose their jobs if those of us who are staying at Mondelez won't see any improvement of our work conditions?

Your reply sounds just like a very, very low quality merchandiser.

Sales reps are going to blame you, put the product out you pathetic slacker!!!

I described the merchandiser just how they are.

What's the question???

Get it together!

Don't go blaming merchandisers for your tough life. Just the way you describe them shows how you work.

I can sell all I want, then when it comes in I line out the merchandiser what needs to be done/built, but the merchandiser always has a million excuses why it can't be executed, puts the product in back stock, and never builds the displays I sell in.

Management NEVER holds the merchandisers accountable, so what's the point?

Great comment. Think thats why we ared seeing changes and will continue to see them. Selling oppurtunities are much less than years ago.

Selling in product isn’t what it used to be, at least where I’m at. All the big stores have mandatory endcaps, and displays. Flex space is nonexistent with all the product they get in.
I consider myself a good rep/merch, and have good relations with the stores and management. I had upto 10 displays in a single store a year or 2 ago, now down to maybe 2 all because everything is planned out on their end.
Being a good rep isn’t about selling. You can sell in 10 displays at a “D” store but what will that get you?

things will improve. fat is being cut. people can start to sell a lot more and have way less merchandising to do. i like selling and this seems like a good opportunity to do more of it and not break my back
